be strategic in your job search, improving your job search, learning what employees think of their company,
Learn if employees hate their company!
I've written recently about how to research hiring companies using:

1) LinkedIn
2) other sources including a hiring company’s web site, Google, Facebook, Twitter, and business publications.

This week, I want to tell you about two really cool web sites where you can find out employee and interviewee perspectives about your target companies. This can be good information to know to determine whether you really want to work for a company or not.

use Glassdoor.com to learn what employees think of their company, Glassdoor.com, employee company reviews,
https://www.glassdoor.com/ features interview questions.

Glassdoor.com
www.glassdoor.com is a very useful free Internet tool for job seekers. It will not only give you a quick overview about a company, it will let you view the salary ranges for major positions and even provide you with typical interview questions that are asked of job candidates so that you can be especially prepared for your interviews with the company.

One very beneficial service on Glassdoor.com is the review section. It will allow you to view employee reviews, both pro and con about the company, which can be an indicator of what kind of experience you can expect if you work there.

Glassdoor.com employee company reviews, what employees think of their company, glassdoor.com,
Glassdoor.com also includes employee reviews.

If you’ve ever taken a job where you learned too late that it was an awful place to work, or even just a very different place than what you are used to, you can appreciate the benefit of these free services.

So check out Glassdoor.com to learn about hiring companies … it can help you land a job or get a better one! In the meantime, if I can be of help to you in your job search, let me know. Invite me to connect on LinkedIn. I will accept and then you can ask me whatever question you want. -- Kathy
